Meet Soilo Scout and Soilo Essence.

Soilo devices are palm-sized, portable soil and water intelligence instruments that give you a complete picture of your field health in under 60 seconds. No laboratory. No technician. No waiting. Simply insert the five probes into your soil or dip into any water source, press the button, and get a full 16-parameter report instantly on the Soilo app.

From everyday farmers and agripreneurs to agricultural researchers and enterprise farm operators, we built two devices so you can choose the one that fits your work. Soilo Scout is your reliable everyday field companion. Soilo Essence is built for professionals who need deeper probes, higher accuracy, and a premium aluminium build that holds up in the most demanding conditions. Both devices support up to 1,000 tests before sensor replacement, making them a long-term investment for any farmer, agripreneur, or institution.

Every test result syncs automatically to the Soilo app via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, where our AI engine converts your raw soil and water numbers into plain-language fertiliser recommendations your entire team can act on.

What the Soilo Device Tests?

PHYSICAL PARAMETERS

Temperature - Soil temperature directly affects seed germination, root development, and microbial activity. Soilo tells you if your soil is at the right warmth for your specific crop to establish and grow well.

Moisture - Soil moisture levels determine when to irrigate and how much. Too much and roots suffocate and disease spreads. Soilo gives you the exact moisture reading so every irrigation decision is data-backed.

CHEMICAL PARAMETERS AND MACRONUTRIENTS

pH - Soil pH is the master variable of soil chemistry. It controls nutrient availability, microbial life, and the effectiveness of every fertilizer you apply. Most crops thrive between pH 6.0 and 7.5. Soilo shows you exactly where your soil stands and whether it needs correction.

Electrical Conductivity (EC) - EC measures the concentration of dissolved salts in your soil. High EC means your soil solution is too salty for roots to absorb water properly, even when the soil is wet. Low EC can signal nutrient deficiency. Soilo tracks EC so you can catch problems before they affect your crop.

Salinity - Closely linked to EC, salinity is one of the most damaging and silent threats to crop yield in India, especially in irrigated and coastal areas. Soilo measures salinity stress risk directly so you know whether your soil is safe for your next crop.

Nitrogen (N) - Nitrogen is the engine of crop growth. It drives better leafs, photosynthesis, and protein formation. Too little and crop turns yellow and stunted. Soilo measures available nitrogen so every usecase is justified.

Phosphorus (P) - Phosphorus powers root development, flowering, and energy transfer in the plant. Deficiency leads to weak root systems, delayed maturity, and poor grain fill. Excess phosphorus locks up zinc and iron.

Potassium (K) - Potassium is the quality nutrient. It improves drought tolerance, disease resistance, fruit size, sugar content, and post-harvest shelf life. Deficiency is often invisible until it is too late.

MICRONUTRIENTS

Iron - Iron drives chlorophyll synthesis. Without adequate iron, young leaves turn yellow between the veins while the veins stay green, a classic sign called interveinal chlorosis. Iron deficiency is common in alkaline and waterlogged soils across India. Soilo flags low iron early so you can correct it.

Zinc - Zinc is the most commonly deficient micronutrient in Indian soils. It is essential for enzyme function, chlorophyll production, and auxin synthesis. Zinc deficiency causes khaira disease in paddy, white bud in maize, and sickle leaf in citrus. Soilo detects zinc levels before deficiency becomes a visible problem.

Boron - Boron is critical for cell wall formation, pollination, and fruit set. Deficiency causes hollow stems, poor pollen viability, and failed fruiting in crops like mustard, sunflower, and vegetables. Even mild boron deficiency can cut yields by 20 to 30 percent without any visible symptoms.

Magnesium - Magnesium sits at the centre of every chlorophyll molecule, making it essential for photosynthesis. It also activates enzymes involved in energy production and protein synthesis. Deficiency shows up as yellowing of older leaves first and is common in sandy and acidic soils.

Copper - Copper supports lignin synthesis, which gives plant cell walls their strength, and is involved in reproductive development. Copper deficiency causes wilting, bluish-green leaf colour, and poor grain formation. It is particularly common in peaty and high-organic-matter soils.

Molybdenum - Molybdenum is needed in the smallest quantity of all micronutrients but is critical for nitrogen fixation in legumes and nitrate reduction in all crops. Deficiency causes whiptail in cauliflower and poor nodulation in pulses, directly affecting protein content and yield.

Sulphur - Sulphur is the fourth major nutrient after N, P, and K, but is rarely tested. It is essential for amino acid and protein synthesis, oil formation in oilseeds, and pungency in onion and garlic. Sulphur deficiency in Indian soils is widespread and rising due to the shift away from sulphur-containing fertilizers.

Calcium - Calcium builds cell wall integrity and is critical for root tip health, fruit development, and disease resistance. Deficiency causes blossom end rot in tomatoes, tip burn in lettuce and cabbage, and bitter pit in apples. Calcium moves poorly in the plant.
