Company update

It is difficult to explain what this means to me in numbers alone.

A year ago, Soilo was an idea we believed could become something meaningful. We wanted to build technology that could understand what was happening on the ground, make environmental intelligence more accessible, and eventually create something from India that could be useful anywhere in the world.

What followed was nothing like a straight line.

There were prototypes that failed. Devices that had to be rebuilt. Problems that appeared only after something reached another country. Long nights fixing hardware, improving algorithms, speaking with customers across time zones, handling shipments, payments, manufacturing, calibration, hiring, cash flow and a hundred things nobody sees in a LinkedIn announcement.

There were days when building Soilo felt incredibly exciting.

There were also days when I genuinely wondered whether we were trying to do too much.

But we continued.

And somewhere during that journey, Soilo stopped being just our idea.

It reached farms, organisations, researchers, distributors and partners across the world.

Today, more than 5,000 Soilo devices have been used across 110+ countries.

That number still feels strange to write.

Not because 5,000 is enormous, but because every device represents a place thousands of kilometres away where something we designed, discussed, assembled, coded and obsessed over is actually being used.

People we had never met started believing in what we were building.

That is probably the most humbling part of this journey.

And Soilo itself has evolved.

What began around soil intelligence is becoming something much larger: ground intelligence, environmental monitoring, Carbon MRV, ESG intelligence and RegTech, connecting what is happening in the physical world with the decisions organisations need to make.

We are still very early.

There are still problems to solve, products to improve, mistakes to make and an enormous amount to build.

But today, I do not want to talk about the next target.

Today I simply want to say thank you.

To every person who worked on Soilo when it was just an uncertain experiment.

To every customer who trusted a young company.

To every partner who opened a new country for us.

To every farmer, researcher and organisation that tested our technology and gave us brutally useful feedback.

To our team, who kept solving problems that sometimes looked impossible.

And to everyone who supported this journey when there was very little evidence that it would work.

One year ago, we started building Soilo.

Today, Soilo exists in 110+ countries.

I have no idea where the next year will take us.

But I know we are only getting started.

Happy 1st birthday, Soilo.

Thank you for becoming much bigger than the idea we started with.

An anniversary shared across an international relationship

On 13 August 2026, the GreenWay EAC team from Brazil visited Soilo’s India office for the company’s first-anniversary celebration. The supplied group photograph records the visit, while the founder’s reflection describes the longer journey behind that moment: prototypes, rebuilding, customer conversations and the ordinary operational pressures of a young business. The visit is meaningful as a shared celebration and a connection between people working across countries. No new exclusivity arrangement, investment or commercial contract is inferred from the occasion.

The original note also looks beyond a single product. It describes an ambition to connect ground information with wider agricultural and sustainability work, while acknowledging that there is still much to improve. The company’s currently reported device and country figures provide context for that ambition, rather than a retrospective audit of deployments on the anniversary date. The strongest theme is gratitude: towards colleagues, customers, researchers and partners who helped an uncertain idea become something people could use. That is the perspective carried into the supporting background below.

Background: what a company milestone does and does not measure

An anniversary is a useful moment to reflect on work that normally arrives as a sequence of immediate tasks. During the year, a team may be thinking about the next build, the next customer question or the next shipment. A milestone creates space to look at those activities together. It can recognise people who contributed before the direction was clear and customers who offered useful feedback while a product was developing. That recognition has value even when it cannot be reduced to a single number. The meaning of the occasion comes from the shared work being acknowledged.

Numbers still need context. A device count, a country-reach figure, an event enquiry total and an order announcement describe different things. They should not be added together or treated as interchangeable measures. Soilo currently reports more than 5,000 devices and reach across 110+ countries on its website. Those are company-reported global figures. They are not a claim that a particular photograph contains the complete deployment record, that an anniversary established the same historical total or that every institution mentioned in a story has endorsed every Soilo offering. The reporting date and the scope of the statement matter.

A thoughtful milestone story can therefore hold two ideas together. It can celebrate the progress described by the people building the company, and it can recognise that the next stage still requires work. Supporting users, improving documentation, investigating technical questions and keeping promises within an agreed scope remain ongoing responsibilities. An anniversary does not finish them. Instead, it can renew the commitment to carry them out carefully. This perspective is particularly relevant to the founder reflections shared by Soilo, which repeatedly acknowledge uncertainty, setbacks and the importance of other people. The celebration records a moment of gratitude within that continuing effort, rather than a declaration that the work is complete.

Keeping the visit and the anniversary record clear

The GreenWay EAC visit is dated 13 August 2026. That year was confirmed by Soilo when an earlier supplied version of the anniversary text referred to 2025. The corrected date is retained consistently here, in the article’s archive record and in the accompanying metadata. The separate anniversary team dinner took place on 20 August 2026; it is another story, with its own photographs. These distinctions keep the chronology understandable without assuming that every anniversary-related activity happened on the company’s registration day.

The founder’s reference to more than 5,000 devices and 110+ countries is a company-reported description of Soilo’s reach. It is not a count independently derived from the GreenWay visit or its photographs. Readers can view the global presence material for the wider deployment context. The significance of this particular meeting lies in a relationship crossing national boundaries and in the founder’s gratitude to people who supported the first year of work.
