Nine sensors, one reading
A single Soilo Essence reading is not one measurement, it is nine. The device carries nine proprietary electrochemical and organic sensors, each tuned to a different aspect of soil composition, from pH and electrical conductivity to nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, organic carbon, and micronutrients. Because every sensor samples the same probe insertion at the same moment, the resulting parameters describe one consistent, real-time state of the soil rather than a set of values collected at different times or depths.
Sensor fusion and signal processing
Raw electrochemical signals on their own are noisy and hard to interpret directly. Soilo's sensor fusion layer combines the nine sensor outputs, cross-referencing and correcting for interactions between parameters, before the signals are processed into calibrated values. This is the same multi-parameter electrochemical sensing and signal processing approach that lets Soilo Essence turn raw soil signals into clear, crop-specific guidance rather than a page of disconnected numbers.
An NLP-driven intelligence system
The fused sensor outputs are then processed through Soilo's proprietary NLP-driven intelligence system, which maps the calibrated readings against agronomic ranges, crop type, and growth stage to classify each parameter and generate a structured, comprehensive soil report. Results are available within minutes of a field reading, with lab-grade accuracy, without waiting days for a laboratory to process a physical sample.
